Knowing the Ropes of Fantasy Tropes

Kieran Sheldon

Fantastical stories are more than mere escapism. In this talk, I will examine how fantasy tropes and game mechanics can combine to shed light on real-world situations and struggles.

Kieran Sheldon is a fantasy writer and game design student at Northeastern University. He has recently released his first game, Luminous, a dark narrative platformer that was featured and recommended on itch.io.

Main Presentation
