Minne Mini Film Festival: Night 1

The Minne Mini Film Festival, held in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, isn’t like most film festivals. Our programming shares a key defining element: all films must be two minutes in length or less!
The goal of the Minne Mini is to be inclusive of filmmakers of all experience levels and representative of the diverse voices in the Twin Cities filmmaking community and beyond. We see the two minute time limit as a great equalizer—a unifying blank canvas. We’re giving every filmmaker the same amount of time to express themselves, but what they do with that time is entirely their own. We welcome stories of all types, too, from drama and comedy to genres like science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
Our program is short by comparison: around two hours. However, since the films are all two minutes or less, we can show a lot in that brief amount of time. At both of our past events, we were able to screen over 60 films! With that number of voices on display and the variety of content, our program is quite a wild ride!
Due to popular demand, we’re extending this year’s run from a single night to two! Both nights will feature the same program, giving more people a chance to see these small films up on the big screen. Each night consists of a two-hour program of films (with a short intermission) and an opportunity to mingle with the filmmakers during our open-theater after-party.
Tickets are now available for this year’s event for $10. Click the night you want to attend below to go to the ticketing site. You can also purchase tickets over the phone by calling 612-825-8949.
