Ellie Nikoo is an Animator and Motion Designer with a wide range of experience in 2D and 3D animation. She has worked as a 2D animator, layout and background designer, and storyboard artist in Iran for over six years and is a former animation professor at UW Stout. Ellie is currently working as an Animator at PBS Wisconsin.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR TOOLS
Working knowledge of essential Adobe Suite software such as Photoshop, Premier, Animate and/or After Effects
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Anyone interested in enhancing their skills in fields related to 2D Animation and 2D Motion Design. Must have a portfolio or demo reel.
MENTORSHIP “TIME LIMITS”
1-3 months with clearly defined goals
TYPE OF MENTORSHIP
Bi-weekly online video calls for up to 50 minutes and occasional messaging through Discord for quick feedback and questions. The mentee needs to have a clear goal for the duration of the mentorship program. For example, the goal might be making a body of work for applying to specific jobs or changing careers, making a short animation, completing the pre-production steps for creating a short animation, developing characters, and concept design for animation, etc.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
It would be great if the mentee used a task management tool such as Asana or Trello and shared their progress toward meeting their goals with me.
